The Miami map in particular in Hitman 2 is like peering into the future of the potential complexity in made for VR game worlds. There is an uncanny sense of it being a real place when you have a game with a AA/AAA budget thrown at the visuals and environment design. It just looks unreal how "there" even the smallest objects appear. Playing a game like Hitman 2 in full geometry 3d with all the micro detail put into each area of a level is honestly a marvel to look at, and has been impressing me more than many native VR games. While you don't need realistic graphics for a good VR experience it certainly helps especially with immersion. We've seen plenty of VR games and while exceptions like Half-Life: Alyx, Astro Bot, and REVII show off AAA visuals the vast majority of them aren't anything special to look at. ![]() It's honestly one of the most impressive 3d effects I've seen as I'm sure other users of Nvidia 3d Vision can attest. ![]() I discovered an app on Steam a couple days ago in early access called HelixVision which uses Nvidia 3d Vision (since discontinued by Nvidia but kept alive by the community) profiles of games to play them in 3d using a VR headset, which displays it on a virtual screen that you can adjust to whatever size you'd like.
